POKOTABI / Sushiro
スシロー 秋葉原中央通り店
Occupying the 8th floor of an Akihabara Chuo-dori building, Sushiro offers an easygoing meal with oversized order displays, on-screen games, classic tuna and salmon, and hot side dishes including ramen.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Head up to the 8th floor of the Akiba Place building along Akihabara Chuo-dori and you are greeted by Sushiro's standout feature: prominent, extra-large touchscreen monitors installed at each table. Ordering is straightforward, and the interactive displays occasionally trigger on-screen games, setting a lighthearted tone whether dining solo, with family, or in a group.
The lineup of nigiri and gunkan pieces is wide-ranging, covering standards like salmon and tuna alongside more indulgent treats such as Toyosu-sourced wild bluefin otoro and wrapped negitoro. Select items can be ordered with mini portions of sushi rice (shari), handy for those who want to sample as many different toppings as possible.
Sides offer plenty of variety between rounds of sushi, including hot choices like shio ramen, rich tonkotsu shoyu ramen, shirodashi-seasoned fried chicken, and steamed chawanmushi with red snow crab. After starting with a draft beer or a Kaku highball, diners can round off the meal with an iced coffee or cafe latte brewed from carefully roasted Brazilian Arabica beans.
The shop provides both counter seats and booths, and accepts an assortment of cashless payments including PayPay and transit IC cards. From a quick lunch between strolls through Akihabara to a relaxed evening spent stacking up plates, it is an accessible, practical dining stop.
